EVIDÊNCIAS CLÍNICAS E BENEFÍCIOS DA OZONIOTERAPIA NA PRÁTICA MÉDICA: UMA REVISÃO CRÍTICA FOCADA NO REPARO TECIDUAL, MODULAÇÃO INFLAMATÓRIA E APLICAÇÕES ESTÉTICAS

Resumo

A literatura científica tem acumulado evidências expressivas acerca das aplicações médicas da ozonioterapia, com destaque para a cicatrização de feridas crônicas, o controle da dor musculoesquelética e as abordagens estéticas e pós-cirúrgicas. O presente estudo objetiva realizar uma revisão crítica e narrativa das evidências sobre a eficácia e a segurança da ozonioterapia na medicina, com ênfase no reparo tecidual, na modulação inflamatória e nas aplicações estéticas. A metodologia consistiu em um levantamento semântico nas bases de dados PubMed/MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, Semantic Scholar e OpenAlex, com análise de 80 estudos clínicos de delineamentos variados, incluindo ensaios clínicos randomizados, revisões sistemáticas, meta-análises e estudos observacionais, publicados entre 1998 e 2025. Os resultados evidenciam que a ozonioterapia acelera significativamente a cicatrização, com redução de até 66,54% na área de úlceras crônicas, e reduz em 54% o risco relativo de amputações maiores em pé diabético (RR = 0,46). No manejo da osteoartrite do joelho, revisões sistemáticas e ensaios clínicos randomizados demonstram reduções significativas da dor e melhora funcional comparáveis ou superiores ao ácido hialurônico. Em aplicações estéticas, o tratamento induz lipólise e promove reduções de até 23,5% na gordura abdominal quando combinado a outras tecnologias. Os mecanismos de ação operam pela ativação da via Nrf2, modulação da sinalização NF-κB, incremento da oxigenação tecidual e atividade antimicrobiana de amplo espectro. O perfil de segurança é altamente favorável, com taxa de eventos adversos de apenas 2,43% em grandes coortes. Conclui-se que a ozonioterapia constitui uma intervenção complementar clinicamente relevante, eficaz e segura, sendo necessários estudos futuros com maior rigor metodológico para padronização de protocolos.
