Abstract

The restoration of complex ecosystems with the aim of broadening humanity’s understanding of the sustainability of planet Earth through new systems of social, economic and political organization is, above all, a cultural and educational task for public agents, in an interdisciplinary manner with communities in all regions of the planet. This essay is a contribution to the universe of social and human sciences that, in the modern world, have proposals to build new, real and plausible perspectives that meet the demands for social inclusion of all inhabitants of the Earth in the common form of a humanity with a shared destiny and future. Challenges exist and are real barriers, especially when private interests are placed above the common good; to overcome them, it is necessary to point out alternative paths to the capitalist mode of production. In this regard, we believe that the experiences of black communities, the paradigms of black cultures, black memories and memories of the ancestral habitat of black people can be paradigms for these new paths. To this end, it is necessary to breathe the air of blackness.
