EDUCACIÓN VIRTUAL EN CHILE: UN EJEMPLO DE UN NUEVO ESPACIO PARA EL APRENDIZAJE

La Educación Virtual nació en 2002 a partir de un proyecto conjunto entre el Centro de Perfeccionamiento, Experimentación e Investigaciones Pedagógicas (CPEIP) y el Centro Links de Educación y Tecnología. El CPEIP desarrolló una línea de formación docente a distancia a través de Internet, impartiendo diversos cursos desde 2002, mientras que el Centro Links, durante los últimos 15 años, ha dedicado sus esfuerzos a ofrecer a docentes y estudiantes acceso a oportunidades educativas asociadas a las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación. Ambas instituciones decidieron unir esfuerzos y desarrollar un proyecto conjunto que integrara la línea de formación docente a distancia del CPEIP, hasta entonces orientada a la actualización curricular, junto con diferentes estrategias de apoyo para la apropiación de las TIC y su integración curricular.
