Molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is characterized as a qualitative enamel defect of systemic origin that mainly affects permanent first molars and incisors, potentially causing dental hypersensitivity, structural enamel fragility, and increased susceptibility to carious lesions. Considering the clinical challenges in managing this condition and the need for conservative approaches, this study aimed to review the literature regarding the effectiveness of CPP-ACP and fluoride varnishes in the management of molar-incisor hypomineralization. To this end, a narrative literature review was conducted through searches in the PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases, including studies published between 2015 and 2025. Articles related to remineralizing therapies, hypersensitivity control, prevention of structural enamel loss, and clinical management of MIH were selected. It was observed that CPP-ACP and fluoride varnishes showed satisfactory results in the remineralization of hypomineralized enamel, reduction of dental sensitivity, and improvement of the structural resistance of affected enamel. In addition, these approaches demonstrated an important contribution to the prevention of post-eruptive fractures and greater clinical comfort for patients. It can be concluded that remineralizing therapies with CPP-ACP and fluoride varnishes constitute conservative and effective strategies for the clinical management of molar-incisor hypomineralization, promoting structural preservation, sensitivity control, and oral health.
