INTEGRATION AND SOCIALIZATION BETWEEN BRAZILIAN AND VENEZUELAN FAMILIES THROUGH EDUCATIONAL GUIDANCE AS A MEANS OF PREVENTING VIOLENCE AND RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN THE CITY OF MANAUS, AMAZONAS STATE

Abstract

This study aims to understand how integration and socialization between Brazilian and Venezuelan families, mediated by educational guidelines, can act as a subsidy for the prevention and confrontation of violence and rights violations in the context of Manaus-AM. The methodology is characterized as a systematic review of literature with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Data collection covered the period from May 2024 to January 2026, using inclusion criteria to select 15 works—including scientific articles, books, and institutional documents—as well as news from journalistic portals to update statistical data on migratory flows. The results identified that Manaus has the second-highest number of Venezuelan migrants in Brazil, with more than 42,000 records in the Single Registry. The results indicate that social assistance projects, such as “Içá Ação e Proteção” (Içá Action and Protection), are fundamental for strengthening family ties and preventing sexual abuse. Educational strategies (discussion groups, workshops, and active listening) allow migrants to reframe their stories, overcome the “culture of fear,” and access public health, education, and labor policies. With this in mind, integration between Brazilian and Venezuelan families is enhanced by interventions that promote social empowerment and autonomy. The study concludes that joint action between support networks (Caritas, UNHCR) and public agencies is effective in mitigating vulnerabilities in the post-pandemic scenario, opening up new fronts for monitoring and protecting the rights of children, adolescents, and their families in the North region.
