INNOVATION MANAGEMENT AS A FACTOR OF COMPETITIVENESS IN BRAZILIAN COMPANIES

Innovation management represents a determining factor for the competitiveness of Brazilian companies in the contemporary economic scenario, marked by accelerated technological transformations and intensification of global competition. This study justifies itself by the need to understand the innovation management practices adopted by Brazilian companies, identifying the factors that facilitate or hinder the implementation of innovative processes and analyzing the impacts of innovation on organizational competitiveness. The objective consists of analyzing innovation management as a competitiveness factor in Brazilian companies, investigating the adopted practices, influencing factors, and impacts on competitiveness. The methodology characterizes itself as qualitative research, of applied nature, based on documentary analysis and systematic bibliographic review of academic productions published between 2015 and 2025. The results show that Brazilian companies have expanded investments in innovation, but face challenges related to transforming investments into sustainable competitive results. Collaboration for innovation emerges as a determining factor for competitiveness. It concludes that innovation management requires integrated policies that articulate financing, human resources training, research infrastructure, and strengthening of collaborations between companies, universities, and governments.
