ACTORS SOCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL IN THE PLURIACTIVITY OF FAMILY FARMING IN THE UPPER WEST POTIGUAR REGION (RN)

Abstract

This article analyzes the contribution of social actors, allocated through the Rural Workers Union, EMATER and BNB, to the strengthening of family farming in the Alto Oeste Potiguar. The research has a qualitative approach, with the application of semi-structured interviews with representatives of the entities. The results show that both play a fundamental role in the permanence of farmers in the countryside, whether through access to public policies such as Pronaf B, continued technical assistance, or the promotion of fairs and training. The union stands out for mobilizing farmers and valuing the productive activities developed in rural areas, BNB contributes by offering credit, financing and technical support. EMATER, on the other hand, provides guidance on management, issuance of CAF and supports productive diversification. The interviews reveal that the joint action of these institutions enhances productive inclusion, strengthens marketing strategies and contributes to family succession and rural development.
