The phenomenon of the inverted age pyramid has transformed the global labor market, impacting the relationship between different generations within organizations. This study aimed to analyze the challenges faced by companies/managers and strategies for retaining professionals from different generations, evaluating how their characteristics influence hiring processes and adaptation to the corporate environment. The research was conducted through a literature review and an empirical study with a quantitative and qualitative approach. A questionnaire was applied via Google Forms to professionals from Generations X and Z, using the Likert Scale to measure perceptions about work, motivation, and stability. In addition, interviews were conducted with Human Resources managers to understand business strategies in hiring and retaining these professionals. The data indicated that the effective management of multigenerational teams requires adaptive strategies, reconciling innovation with experience. Companies that understand these differences and adjust their leadership and retention practices will achieve greater engagement and productivity.
