MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN BASIC HEALTH UNITS: INTEGRATIVE REVIEW FROM 2009 TO 2022

This integrative review has the following objectives: a) To detail scientific production between 2009 and 2022 on management practices in Primary Health Care Units; and b) To discuss the implications of the main results found in scientific production in the light of the assumptions of the National Primary Health Care Policy. The search was formatted using the descriptors "Management in health services"; "Single Health System"; and "Primary Health Care", in the BVS and Scielo databases, and was carried out between 2009 and 2022. The sample resulted in 7 articles after insertion and subsequent analysis using the Bardin method. The results highlighted the challenges and potential of the managerial position in basic health units, emphasizing factors such as the fragile professional appreciation and low training for the position, surrounding adversities in the people management process, use of information systems and also with the higher levels of the hierarchy.
