Abstract

The objective of this research is to explore the characteristics of gender studies in police organizations using the Knowledge Development Process-Constructivist (ProKnow-C) as an intervention tool. The study is descriptive, exploratory, and qualitative, with data collected from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, using a time frame of 10 years. As a result, the tool generated a Bibliographic Portfolio (BP) with 60 articles. The analysis included a Literature Map, Bibliometric Analysis, and Systemic Analysis. The Literature Map identified five main themes: Gender, Behavior, Maternity, Police Culture, and Leadership. The Bibliometric Analysis highlighted the most published authors, the most cited articles, and the most relevant journals. The Systemic Analysis suggested that future research should address three areas: police context, gender equality, and organizational context. The study contributes by mapping the existing literature, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities for future research to advance knowledge in this field.
