EDUCATIONAL PUBLIC POLICIES IN CONTEMPORARY BRAZIL AND THEIR CONTRADICTIONS: ANTI-RACIST EDUCATION AND THE NEOLIBERAL STATE

The general objective of this study is to analyze the contradictions between the neoliberal state and the implementation of anti-racist education in Brazil. Specifically, it seeks to understand the impact of regulatory and evaluation policies on racial equality. Based on a qualitative approach, of a bibliographical and critical-interpretative nature, it uses authors such as Afonso (2007), Hypolito (2010), Cury (2002), and Guimarães (2015) as references. The research shows that the neoliberal logic transforms education into a commodity and weakens racial equity policies, revealing the need for a state committed to social justice and historical reparation.
